JoAnn Nolte
“Sometimes you have to slow down to finally see where you’re going.”
For much of my life, I lived at a pace that could have flattened a rhino. I raised four kids while homeschooling, running a household, and building businesses from my kitchen table — often with spreadsheets in one hand and a math book in the other. From robotics clubs to summer camps to family gatherings, I poured myself into creating spaces where learning and creativity could thrive.
My Journey
There were seasons of joy and seasons of survival. I walked through divorce, single parenting, bankruptcy, burnout, and beautiful rebirth. Through it all, I learned how to rebuild a life with nothing but grit, grace, and determination.
Years later, I married my best friend from high school, who became my greatest encourager. He urged me to slow down and carve out space for art, writing, and rest. With his support — and a few hard lessons from my health — I finally did. Out of that slowing came the rebirth of a once-shelved idea: The Miss Adventures of Momo, a children’s book series inspired by the road trips I once took with my kids, and now with my grandchildren.
At its heart, my journey has always been about the same thing: connection.
What I Do
Today, I focus on writing, teaching, and creating resources that encourage families, educators, and communities to reconnect with what matters most. My work includes:
The Miss Adventures of Momo — a children’s book series celebrating family, storytelling, and adventure.
Speaking & Teaching — keynotes, workshops, and events where I share lessons on creativity, resilience, homeschooling, and entrepreneurship.
Building Communities — from co-ops to classrooms, I’ve spent decades creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and inspired to grow.
